In autumn 2014 started a new international Master’s Degree Programme in Molecular Systems Biology at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Turku.
The Programme is searching for proficient and motivated international degree students, but also students from Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences. Relevant fields of prior studies are molecular biosciences, biochemistry, plant molecular biology, molecular microbiology and molecular biology, or other relevant fields of studies where sufficient knowledge of molecular biosciences is achieved for studying in the MDP in Molecular Systems Biology.
The programme provides strong theoretical and practical skills in modern molecular biology with a specific focus on systems biology. Molecular biosciences form one of the internationally recognized research strengths at the University of Turku. The topics of leading research projects, such as biomedicine, photosynthesis and bioenergy, are included within the programme. Students will have opportunity to study and work under guidance of distinguished teachers, professors and researchers. Please see more information about the programme from here www.utu.fi/systemsbiology
Application period for studies starting on autumn 2016 is 1 December 2015 – 29 January 2016. Application process is started at Studyinfo.fi. See more information about application procedure from here: http://www.utu.fi/en/units/sci/units/biochem/studying/MDPs/MSB/apply/Page s/home.aspx
Language of instructions will be in English and good knowledge in English language is prerequisite for admission. Please see more information about language requirements from here http://www.utu.fi/en/units/sci/studying/MDPs/language/Pages/home.aspx
I’m happy to answer to any questions related to application procedure and structure of studies of the Master’s Degree Programme in Molecular Systems Biology.
Sincerely yours,
Minna Lintala
