#BECA post-doc positions in #Neuroscience @JohnsHopkins

Available to study synaptic function and plasticity of #hippocampus and visual cortex.

One position is to address age-related adaptive and mal-adaptive changes in the dentate gyrus circuitry, with emphasis on the synaptic integration of newborn granule cells and inhibitory function.

The other position is to address how changes in the efficacy of cortical inhibition gates and shapes cortical plasticity induced by experience. Both projects will combine electrophysiology, optogenetics and molecular interventions.

Each of these projects is integrated within a comprehensive multi-disciplinary effort carried out across multiple labs that also include in vivo recordings and behavioral analysis. Interested candidates please contact Alfredo Kirkwood at Johns Hopkins University ( Kirkwood@jhu.edu).
